Bulldogs Heading to the Mayo Bowl: Here’s What to Know
For the 27th time in program history, Mississippi State football is heading to a bowl game.
The Bulldogs will take on Wake Forest in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl at 7 p.m. CT/8 p.m. ET on January 2 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. You can catch the game on ESPN.
Mississippi State has a mixed bowl game record of 15-11, most recently appearing in 2023 at the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa Bay, Florida. Duke’s Mayo Bowl will be State’s second appearance in a bowl game in Charlotte, N.C., having previously played in 2015’s Belk Bowl (now called the Duke’s Mayo Bowl). Mississippi State handily defeated NC State 51-28 in 2015, but both programs have significantly changed in the past ten years.
