Itawamba’s Tim Holiday Breaks School Record
Tim Holiday delivered a record-setting performance for Itawamba Community College on Monday, scoring a whopping 44 points in a 90–71 win over Community Christian College Tennessee Valley.
The Fulton native broke the program’s modern-era single-game scoring record, passing former ICC All-American Brian Halums’ 2017 mark of 4. Holiday also set modern records from three-point range, making 9 shots from beyond the arc and attempting 16, both the most in an ICC game in the modern era.
Holiday shot 13-of-22 from the field and went a perfect 9-of-9 at the free throw line. He added 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks, tying several other modern-era benchmarks for field-goal attempts and makes.
Holiday’s impeccable performance has earned him a spot in the annals of ICC basketball history. This is Holiday’s freshman season, and with performances like these, he’s on track to keep setting records.
