Jones Rides 7-0 Streak to Pensacola State Thanksgiving Classic
Jones College maintained its perfect record on Thursday night, clinching a 102–88 win over Mississippi Delta. Thursday’s victory marks the Bobcats’ 26th consecutive home win.
Jones has had a killer offense this season, averaging over 95 points per game. Their high-scoring streak continued, with Braylon Barnes and Jay Tyler scoring 21 points each against Mississippi Delta. Not far behind were Dylan Rowe and Keron Jackson, who each scored 15 points. Bob Dickson pulled down a game-high 18 rebounds, and Rowe chalked up five assists.
Jones shot 45 percent from the field (31 of 69 shots) and 72 percent at the line (31of 43 shots). Mississippi Delta also played a strong offensive game, finishing at 39 percent shooting and 8 of 21 three-pointers. The Bobcats held a slim 47–46 rebounding edge, handing over only eight turnovers, outscored the Trojans 35-19 off the bench.
Now 7–0, Jones heads to the Pensacola State Thanksgiving Classic, facing No. 11 Gulf Coast State on Nov. 25, Tallahassee on Nov. 26, and No. 18 Chipola on Nov. 27.
