MGCCC Are Conference Champions After 24 Years

After almost a quarter of a century, the lady Bulldogs become conference champions.

In a thrilling matchup against Southwest Mississippi Community College, Mississippi Gulf Coast was able to win the conference title 67–63. This win was a team effort, with multiple lady Bulldogs dropping double digit points. Wrapping it in gold and blue, this is now the team’s sixth conference championship. Remarkably, it is also the first time this century that the lady Bulldogs have won over 20 games.

Summed up perfectly from the team’s guard Simaru Fields, “We’re Champions.” Congratulations to the women’s basketball team at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on their conference championship win. This is a huge accomplishment for the team and the college.
