Millsaps Volleyball Standing Tall with 12-1 Record

The Millsaps volleyball team is making waves this season with an impressive 12-1 record and a hope to keep their 12 game winning streak alive.

The Millsaps volleyball team started their season with one win and one loss, but have not faced a lose since. With a huge opening game against Jones College, Millsaps started their 2024 volleyball season with a 3-1 victory over the Bobcats. Shortly after, they played against Howard Payne University, where they suffered their first loss of the season. This loss hit hard, as it was a sweep from Howard’s end. From the start of the season, the Millsap’s squad has set a high standard. The team quickly regrouped, demonstrating their ability to learn from setbacks and maintain focus. Although the 0-3 loss left the team frazzled, they put their game faces on, and have been undefeated since.

The team had an impressive four sweeps in a row from August 31st – September 7th and have accumulated eight sweeps thus far. Just this past Saturday, they were able to sweep a 3-0 victory under their belt against LaGrange College.

The team starts SAA conference play this week, with two away games. On Saturday, they will be facing off against Berry College, followed by a Sunday matchup against Oglethorpe University.

As the season progresses, the Millsaps volleyball team is not just aiming for victories; they are also focused on growth, resilience, and building a legacy within the program. With their current record and unwavering spirit, they are certainly a team to watch this year.
