No. 2 Pearl River Appears as Main Threat This Season

The No. 2 Pearl River baseball team continued to roll in its final non-conference game, securing a 9-3 victory over Nunez to improve to 20-4 overall. The Wildcats pounded out 16 hits and utilized seven pitchers to earn the win as they wrapped up their impressive non-conference slate.

PRCC’s strong performance marks a solid finish to a non-conference schedule that has seen them dominate, showcasing both offensive depth and pitching versatility. With a 20-4 overall record, the Wildcats are heading into conference play on a high note, with momentum building for the challenges ahead.

They begin conference play on Sunday, facing off against No. 21 Northwest Mississippi Community College in a doubleheader. Pearl River is familiar with playing ranked opponents, and these games are some of their highest-scoring ones. For example, Pearl River dominated with a 17-0 performance vs. No. 16 South Arkansas Community College and 18-3 vs. No. 22 Lansing Community College.
