Ole Miss Football Ranked Top 5 in Nation

Ole Miss has been ranked No. 5 college football team in latest AP polling.

The Ole Miss football team is in company with Alabama (No.4), Ohio State (No.3), Georgia (No. 2), Texas (No. 1).

The Rebels opened up their season with back-to-back home games, both ending with crushing their opponent. In the first game, the Rebels finished with an almost unfair score of 76-0 against Furman University. This game included some dominating statistics, like how the Rebel offense earned 37 first downs, but held Furman to eight. The second game proved to be equally one-sided. Ole Miss carried its momentum into its game against Middle Tennessee, which ended 52-3. Their next game was away, but a home field advantage was not needed. The Rebels dominated Wake Forrest on their own turf, winning 40-6.  Their week four matchup is against Georgia Southern, and Ole Miss currently (as of 8:34 p.m.) is leading 24-7.

Their first SEC game will be next Saturday and the Rebels have the exciting home-field advantage. The matchup will be at 11:00 a.m against Kentucky. Keep a close eye on their SEC play, we hope to see them move up the rankings!
