Rebel Soccer Begins Season Sunday in Memphis

Ole Miss Soccer will begin its 2025 soccer regular season campaign Sunday as they hit the road and take on Memphis at 7 p.m. CT. The Rebels were supposed to open up the season this past Thursday at home against Mississippi Valley State, but the game was canceled due to weather conditions.

Memphis won its season opener this past Thursday 6-0 over Southern Miss, with five different Tigers finding the back of the net. It was the fourth consecutive season opener where Memphis scored six goals.

Ole Miss faced Memphis last season on August 25. The Tigers were ranked 10th in the country at the time and came away with a 2-1 victory over the Rebels in Oxford.

Ole Miss rebuilt the roster with 20 newcomers on the 2025 squad while returning multiple key players from last season’s team. Katie Ramsden returns for her second season after leading the Rebels in assists in 2024.

The match on Sunday will be streamed on ESPN+ as the Rebels look to get revenge on the Tigers and get off to a strong start in 2025.
