From Underdogs to Wildcat Winners, Jones Baseball Bounces Back

After losing their 5 game winning streak and first game against Southwest Mississippi (9-8), the Jones Wildcats knocked it out of the park with a comeback 21-1 victory.

These Wildcats have not had a season to be ashamed of. The team has an impressive record of 30–6 overall and 12–2 in conference play. With such an exceptional record, their recent loss on Wednesdays first game was disheartening. However, they quickly bounced back and were able to knock it out of the park with a 21-1 victory. The No.7 ranked baseball team has been blowing out the MCCC conference and leaving their competitors crushed. They have had seven other games with 10+ runs in their conference matchups, and 13 games with 10+ runs overall. The team was recently able to score 10 runs in the sixth inning alone, accompanied by a grand slam by sophomore Hayes Carley.

They will be hosting their next game against Northwest at 2 PM with the intent of regaining their winning streak. Northwest is a No.17 ranked team and can be seen facing off with the Wildcats on April 6th at 2 PM and 5 PM for another back-to-back matchup.
