Jackson State Starts Conference Play Off Right
Jackson State University has played its first conference game, which ended in a victory for the Tigers.
Jackson State University plays in the SWAC conference, which stands for Southwestern Atlantic Conference. This conference is headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, and is made up of historically black colleges and universities in the southern United States. It is a division one conference that is associated with the NCAA.
The Tigers first conference matchup was against Texas Southern this past Saturday, on September 28th. Jackson State absolutely annihilated their opponents with a 43–14 victory. The star player of this game was redshirt sophomore Joanes Fortilien, who stood out with 62 receiving yards.
Their conference next game will be this Saturday on October 5th, against Alabama A&M. Their first two conference games are away, but they will be back at home on October 19th when they play Florida A&M @ 2:30 PM.
