Killing It: Jones College’s Mamie Fromdahl is MACCC Offensive Player of the Week

Sophomore setter Mamie Fromdahl has been named the MACCC Offensive Player of the Week following a dominant performance that helped the Jones College Bobcats secure a 3-0 record this week.

Fromdahl tallied 111 assists during the week, including a season-high 45 in a road win over Southwest. The performance earned her the second Offensive Player of the Week title of her collegiate career, having been named MACCC Offensive Player of the Week in her 2024 season.

Fromdahl is a consistently strong player, but she elevated her already-fierce performance record this week, adding 23 digs, 9 kills, and 7 blocks as Jones continued its strong start to the 2025 season. The Bobcats now hold a 13-1 overall record and are tied with Northwest (8-1) as leaders in MACCC conference play.

In the 2025 season, Fromdahl leads the team with 374 assists and 24 aces. She has also contributed 25 kills and 22 blocks, showcasing her adaptability on the court.

As a freshman, Fromdahl began building her reputation as a Bobcat standout, starting 33 of 35 matches and winning First Team All-MACCC. She had a MACCC best with an almost unbelievable 1,041 assists—ranking 16th in the NJCAA. Fromdahl also recorded 240 digs, 61 aces, and 115 kills. Her season included a 55-assist performance in a 3-2 upset over Walters State.

Prior to Jones, she starred at McGill-Toolen Catholic under head coach Kate Wood, helping lead the “Dirty Dozen” to back-to-back AHSAA 7A State Championships. Her state championship match foreshadowed her future success; she recorded 23 assists and 8 digs to cap off a 46-8 season.

Academically, Fromdahl was named to the Jones College’s Spring 2025 Faculty List. With strong performances on and off the court, Fromdahl strengthens the Bobcats’ hopes for a conference title.
