Rebels’ Elliot Wins 2025 Rawlings Gold Glove Award
The 2025 NCAA Division I Rawlings Gold Glove Award Team has been announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association, and Ole Miss’s Hunter Elliot has been named a recipient of the award.
Elliot is only the third Rebel to ever win a Gold Glove, as well as the first pitcher to accomplish the feat. The first two were Hayden Dunhurst in 2021 and Stuart Turner in 2013.
Elliot adds to his list of individual accolades for the 2025 season only, including the Dick Howser Trophy Pitcher of the Month (February), Golden Spikes Midseason Watch List, 2025 SEC Championship and Oxford Regional All-Tournament Teams, Rawlings All-South Region Second Team and NCBWA Third Team All-American.
As a redshirt junior, Elliot started in 16 games for the Rebs as the team’s primary Friday night starter. Throughout the season, he notched a 10-3 record with a 2.94 ERA and 102 strikeouts, becoming the fifth pitcher in school history to record a 10-win, 100-strikeout season. He also held his batters to a .197 batting average and picked off 13 baserunners in 2025, the most of any Rebel in the modern baseball era.
After missing the entire 2024 season due to injury, Elliot was able to make his presence more than known during the 2025 campaign, adding his name to the Ole Miss record books.
