The 2025 NBA Summer League officially begins on Thursday in Las Vegas, Nevada, and several former players from both Ole Miss and Mississippi State will be competing for NBA rosters. Here are the athletes who will be participating:

Brooklyn Nets – D’Andre Davis (Ole Miss)
D’Andre Davis played for two different teams before finishing his college basketball career with the Ole Miss Rebels. Davis averaged 10.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, a block and a steal in his graduate season. He played a crucial role in the Rebels’ march to the Sweet 16 and will look to make his presence known in the Summer League alongside draft picks Egor Demin, Nolan Traoré, Ben Saraf and Danny Wolf.

Dallas Mavericks – Jamarion Sharp and Moussa Cisse (Ole Miss)
Sharp spent three years in college, spending his last season at Ole Miss before going undrafted and signing with the Dallas Mavericks. He would eventually join their affiliate team in the G-League, the Texas Legends. In the 2024-25 season, the two-time Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year averaged 6.4 points, 7.2 boards, 3.2 blocks and a dime for the Legends.

Cisse spent one year at Ole Miss with Sharp in 2023-24 where he averaged 4.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks. After spending his graduate season back at Memphis, he went undrafted and signed a deal with the Mavericks. Sharp and Cisse will play alongside number one overall pick Cooper Flagg in Vegas.

Detroit Pistons – Tolu Smith and Garrison Brooks (Mississippi State)
Tolu Smith was a standout at Mississippi State for four years, averaging 15.0 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists for the Bulldogs in 2023-24 as a graduate. State made the NCAA Tournament but was eliminated in the first round against Michigan State. Smith went undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft but would then sign with the Detroit Pistons G-League affiliate, the Motor City Cruise. Tolu made his presence known in the 2024-25 season as a rookie, averaging 17.9 points and 13.6 rebounds for the Cruise.

Garrison Brooks spent four years in Chapel Hill playing for North Carolina before transferring to Mississippi State and averaging 10.4 points and 6.6 rebounds. He has spent the last few seasons in the G-League and will be joining the Pistons in Vegas, playing alongside Smith.

Houston Rockets – Cameron Matthews (Mississippi State)
Cameron Matthews solidified himself as a Bulldog great after five years in Starkville. He played a swiss army knife role and racked up a program-record 274 steals, which are also the fourth most in SEC history. He also totaled 871 rebounds in his career which placed him at sixth in program history. After going undrafted, he signed a summer league deal with the Houston Rockets and will share the court with last year’s number three overall pick Reed Sheppard.

Portland Trail Blazers – Sean Pedulla (Ole Miss)
Despite spending only one season at Ole Miss, he played a pivotal role in the Rebels’ run to the Sweet 16. Pedulla averaged 15.4 points and shot 39.2 percent from three point land. He put his name on the map and signed with the Blazers for the Summer League. Pedulla will compete in Vegas and fight for a spot on the Blazers’ main roster.
