Meet Keithean Brooks: a talented homegrown basketball player from Walls, Mississippi.
Brooks is currently showcasing his skills on the Delta State Men’s basketball team. Before repping the green and white, Brooks honed his talents at Northeast Community College. With the Tigers, he averaged an impressive 14 points per game. After his transfer last year to Delta State, he made a significant impact for the Statement. He played in 29 games, starting 25, and demonstrating his scoring ability with a shooting percentage of 44% from the field. With a season total of 173 points, he was a force to be reckoned with last season offensively. He also contributed defensively, recording 105 rebounds, 34 assists, and 56 steals.
Brooks has continued to play strong this season, emerging as a key player for the Statesmen. He is currently leading the team in total points scored in two of their first three games. He sunk 23 points in their debut, 16 points in their second game, and an impressive 24 points in their third.
Numbers do not lie, and Brooks is proving to be a rising star in collegiate basketball. In his most recent game against Lane University, he was an asset on the court for more than just points. he dominated in rebounds and assists. Brooks had the second highest assist number (4) and rebound number (7). He had the highest free-throw percentage, shooting 5-7 at the free throw line.
