Two Mississippi Teams in NCAA Division II South Regionals

The 2025 NCAA Division II Baseball Championship bracket has been announced and the matchups are set. Two teams from Mississippi have made the South Regionals: Mississippi College (33-21) and Delta State (32-18).

Each Regional consists of a four team double elimination bracket, and the winners from the two South Regionals will meet in a Super Regional. Here’s what you need to know about the Regional matchups:

Mississippi College
For the first time since 2018, the Choctaws are headed to the NCAA Division II Tournament and South Regional. MC will visit the host and top-seeded University of Tampa to compete as a No. 4 seed, also joining the No. 5 seed Lynn University and No. 8 Albany State.

The Choctaws will face Lynn in the opening round on Thursday, May 15 at 4 p.m. at the UTampa baseball field.

Delta State
In the other South Regional, the No. 6 seed Delta State Statesmen will join the host and second-seeded Florida Southern, No. 3 seed West Florida, and seventh-seeded West Alabama. Delta State makes its 37th appearance in the DII Baseball Tournament after being named the 2025 regular season Gulf South Conference Champions.

The Statesmen are set to take on West Florida in the opening round on Thursday at 2 p.m.
