Jones is Home to Tennis Sophomore Player of the Year

If you have been keeping up with JC tennis at all, you would know that Jones women’s tennis is an absolute force to be reckoned with. With an undefeated season in conference play and overall, the Jones women’s tennis team did not lose a single match this season. The team consistently made ITA national rankings and comes in as the sixth best team in the nation as of April 18, 2024.

Sophomore star Guadalupe Tocci is a perfect representation of the Jones team as a whole. An absolute beast, Tocci went 15–0 at No’s 1/2 singles and 19-0 at No. 1/2 doubles. She helped lead the Bobcats to their fourth consecutive MACCC and Region 23 Championships and return to the national tournament. She has also earned the title of 2024 MACCC player of the year due to her success on and off the court. As an ITA scholar- athlete, NJCAA all-academic and MACCC-academic selection, and four-time member of Jones college honor roll, it is no shock that the shining star secured the title of sophomore player of the year.
