MGCCC Adds Volleyball as a Sport
Volleyball is coming this fall to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. MGCCC has added Volleyball in its lineup of varsity sports.
This popular and riveting sport will make a long overdue appearance this coming fall in 2025. The college will play in Dantzler Arena, which means fans will be able to watch the exciting sport in the renovated Weather–Wentzel Center. They will be playing in the MACCC league in their upcoming 2025 season, and it will give new student athletes an opportunity to succeed on and off the court. There are 343 teams that will be playing alongside this team in the NCAA. Like all other Bulldog athletics, the coast volleyball team will be Division II with other Mississippi schools. Volleyball is such a popular sport and there is a tremendous amount of opportunity for this movement. This will not be the first time that Volleyball has be seen at the Gulf Coast. The history of Volleyball at MGCCC goes back to the earliest days of the university, all the way back to 1929. The sport was played until 1976, so after a not so brief hiatus- Volleyball is back!
