Pearl River Football Ends 16 Year Drought Against East Mississippi

The face you make when your team just broke a 16 year long losing streak:

Pearl River football has finally broken their long-standing losing streak against East Mississippi, a rivalry in which they had not secured a win since 2008. The team and coach are now celebrating this significant victory that took place yesterday, where the night ended with a scoreboard lit up in their favor, 32-28.

The game’s results are just as thrilling as the action on the field. Fans were on the edge of their seats as Pearl River made a hard fought effort. By halftime, the Wildcats trailed 12-25, a score that left little hope for some supporters. However, the Wildcats refused to give up and pushed through. They managed to keep their opponents from scoring any touchdowns in the third quarter while adding six points of their own. The Wildcats defense showed out again in the fourth quarter, allowing the Lions only one opportunity for a field goal. With the defense on lock, the Wildcat’s offense turned it up in the fourth quarter, putting up 14 points. A successful comeback story by Pearl River, one where the odds were staked against them.

Congratulations to the Wildcats!
